When a policy is cancelled, SchemeServe automatically recalculates the premium, commission, and insurer balance based on the cancellation terms.

• Any return premium due is calculated at the point of cancellation.
• If funds have already been collected, SchemeServe determines whether:
  A refund is due to the customer, or
  An accounting adjustment is required.

For card payments, refunds can be issued on the money tab of the policy. SchemeServe will work out how much is due to be refunded and this can then be issued on the money tab:

For non-card payments, the refund can be logged on the money tab by created a one-off payment.
