Navigate to 'Admin' and jump into 'Schemes'.
A lot of the settings come pre-set which means you don´t have to spend long on this step, however we recommend reading each of the below sections to ensure your schemes are set up correctly as these are the most commonly changed settings.
In the ‘General’ settings you can customise fundamental aspects of your scheme.
Key Settings:
- Scheme Name: This is the name that will pull through using the system ID [SchemeName]
- Insurer: Add all your insurers for this scheme here
- Rate Locking: Enable rate locking to allow for rates to be locked in on the matrix tab
- Allowing MTAs & RNLs: Choose if MTAs and RNLs can be done and by whom
- Renewal requotes: Decide if new records are created within current cases or not for requotes
- New quotation email: Decide if an email is sent every time a quotation is created
The 'Payments' settings enable users to configure various payment options and methods.
Key Settings:
- Payment types: Review your options based on how you will accept payments. Be sure not to miss the invoicing option at the very bottom.
'Localisation' settings allow you to adjust currency preferences, postcode and country wording, and other localization parameters to enhance accessibility and user experience for users.
Key Settings:
- Currency: Change currency here
- Address lookup: Assign specific address lookups e.g. Epostocde
- Terminology: Change terminology e.g. county, postcode, province or zipcod
- Date stamps: Add the time to your dates e.g. inception date time
- Time zones: Select or remove time zones
In the 'Advanced' settings, you have access to a range of advanced features and functionalities to optimise scheme management. This includes fine-tuning user permissions and configuring automated workflows.
Key settings:
- Policy length: Set standard policy lengths here
- Permissions: Decide who can place policies on cover
- Dates: Choose when renewals can be done
- Back dating: Allow back dating
- Auto NTU or Lapsing: Assign days for auto NTU-ing or lapsing
The 'Accounting' settings allow you to give Digit access to this scheme if needed as well as setting up fields such as tolerance amounts.
Key settings:
- Digit permission: Allow this scheme to be included in Digit
- Adjustment limits: Decide at scheme level what the limit is for adjustments. This can also be set per user within the user profile
- Insurers payable: Choose when the insurers are payable: when placed on cover or when the premium is paid
- Commission withdrawal: Choose when commission can be withdrawn: when paid to insurer or when the premium is received
'Sharing' settings allow you to control access permissions and collaboration capabilities within this scheme. This includes setting up sharing permissions for documents or other areas if scheme sharing is enabled.
Key settings:
- Share scheme: Enable scheme sharing
- Permissions: Decide if users must ask my permission prior to displaying this scheme on their website
- Authority: Decide which level of authority you are providing
