Requotting

Requoting in SchemeServe allows underwriters (and optionally brokers) to regenerate a quotation based on an existing record, without needing to re-enter data from scratch.

When a record is requoted, the system takes the user back through the quote journey with all previously captured data prepopulated.

How Requoting Works

  1. The user selects Requote on an existing record
  2. The quote journey is reopened with all fields prefilled using the original data
  3. The user can make amendments as required
  4. On completion, a new policy/record is created

Key Behaviour

  • Requoting does not overwrite the original record
  • A new, separate policy is generated from the requote
  • The original record remains unchanged for audit and reference

Tracking Requotes

You can identify whether a policy has been requoted by reviewing the:

  • Activity Log

This will show the requote action and link between records where applicable.

Renewal Requotes (Scheme Setting)

SchemeServe provides a configuration option to control how renewal requotes behave:

  • Option 1: Create a new policy
  • Option 2: Keep the requote within the same policy

Best Practice

In most cases, renewal requotes should remain linked to the original policy to maintain continuity and a clear policy lifecycle.

Broker Requoting

Brokers can requote by default in SchemeServe

If required, this functionality can be disabled

To restrict broker requoting, contact the SchemeServe Support Team, who can update this setting.
