PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT GUIDE

How your ideas can shape SchemeServe

Every enhancement starts with understanding the problem and validating the opportunity. There are two routes: our standard product journey and, when timing matters, Sponsored Development.

STANDARD JOURNEY

Share an idea

Tell us about the business challenge, the outcome you need and why it matters. We validate and prioritise opportunities based on evidence, impact, value and feasibility.

SPONSORED DEVELOPMENT

Fund a capability

When timing is important, you can fund a capability directly. We shape and build it with you, subject to our product, technical, commercial and platform standards.

The standard product journey

Our goal is not simply to build requested features. It is to solve meaningful problems that create value for clients and the wider SchemeServe platform.

01   Share your challenge
Tell us about your business challenge, desired outcome and why it matters.
02   Discovery and validation
We work with you to understand the underlying problem through research.
03   Prioritisation
We assess strategic fit, customer impact, commercial value and feasibility.
04   Roadmap
Validated and selected initiatives are prioritised and added to the roadmap.
05   Build
Product, design and engineering shape, build and test the solution with clients.
06   Launch and learn
We launch, measure adoption, gather feedback and keep improving.
A useful submission starts with the problem. Include the business challenge, the outcome you want and why it matters.

WHEN TIMING MATTERS

How Sponsored Development works

Sponsored Development accelerates discovery and prioritisation while maintaining SchemeServe’s strategic, technical and platform standards.

01   Initial review
We assess the opportunity, urgency and strategic alignment.
02   Discovery and estimate
Product and engineering define likely scope, effort and commercials.
03   Agreement
Statement of work, commercial agreement and roadmap planning.
04   Collaborative delivery
We build together, with you involved through discovery and testing.
05   Platform launch
The capability becomes part of the SchemeServe platform.

Sponsorship accelerates consideration, not automatic approval

While you fund the outcome, the implementation remains under SchemeServe’s control.

Every sponsored opportunity must

✓ Align with SchemeServe’s product strategy
✓ Create value beyond a bespoke build
✓ Be technically feasible
✓ Fit capacity and roadmap priorities
✓ Support the wider platform
✓ Follow commercial and delivery controls
What sponsorship means in practice

✓ SchemeServe owns the final design
✓ The solution is available to all clients
✓ Dates remain indicative during discovery
✓ Work follows the roadmap process
✓ Commercial approval comes first
✓ You stay involved in validation and testing
