Data Enrichment

SchemeServe can call an external API during quotation when additional information is required before producing a price or underwriting decision. The most common way of doing this is through Address Cloud or similar. This is usually done via the Rating file/Rules and the data typically includes:

  • Flood-risk checks;
  • Property enrichment;
  • Credit or sanctions checks;
  • Subsidence information;
  • Geocoding;
  • External pricing services

Additional authentication
The external endpoint must use an authentication method supported by SchemeServe. Where complex authentication is required, such as MFA, TOTP generation or specialist token refresh, middleware may be needed:

SchemeServe → Client middleware → External service
