Open Banking

Open Banking lets you connect your bank account directly to SchemeServe via GoCardless so that your bank statement transactions are pulled automatically into Digit. This removes the need to manually upload statements and speeds up reconciliation.

How It Works in Digit

1. Open the Bank Account Screen

In the Digit Accounting interface, go to the Bank Accounts section - this is where bank feeds and reconciliations are managed. You’ll see feeds listed once connected.

2. Authorise Your Bank via Open Banking

When you choose to connect a bank feed, you’ll be taken to a bank selection screen.

Select your bank name.

You’ll be redirected to your bank’s secure Open Banking login.

Authorise GoCardless to access read-only transaction data (this is required for the feed to work).

This step is completed in the bank’s own authentication screens - SchemeServe doesn’t see or store your login credentials.

3. Importing Statement Lines

Once authorised:

GoCardless pulls your bank transactions into Digit.

These appear on the Bank Account - Account statements tab within digit.

4. Reconciling Transactions

In the Bank Accounts tab you can:

View imported statement lines.

Search or filter (e.g., by date or reference).

Match each line to the related SchemeServe transaction
